Solange Sangria is one of the last of the jaguar people, a royal pureblood. Some of the books in the series didn’t do it for me but the originality of the world at that time before the market became over saturated and the overall story arc kept me reading the series. And I liked the role that blood plays in the story – both have unusual things going on with their blood – and also the advantage of their special heritages – Jaguar and Dragonseeker – are key to the resolution of the story.
Pain, yes, but not emotion. Ok, so it’s supernatural romance, but CF used to write more interesting stuff than this. Wounded and weary, she plans one last battle, hoping to stop the man who has aligned with the vampires, and accepting her deathly fate.
A body lay crumpled and lifeless in the river, caught on the rocks, battered and forgotten. The ongoing vampires’ conspiracy plot thread is expanded but not settled, I can see that it will be part of the next book.

The book will be darkk without any major stains or markings, the spine will be in excellent shape with only minor creasing, no pages will be missing and the cover is likely to be very clean.

This had to have been where the second battle had taken place and Brad had been wounded. I really enjoyed all the bad guys in Dark Peril I thought it was great to see more of the orangised Perip and how they were operating and to see the Jaguar King, and how Solange and Dominic worked as a team to take down both sets of bad guys!

He was an ancient without a lifemate and the darkness was strong in him already. Solange was different than I expected, much softer under her hard shell. I liked the tough girl Solange when we first met her and knew that if she got a story it would be fast paced and action filled, and this did not disappoint. So often we judge people by their appearances, by the front they present and we never realize that feeyan the mask is a person who also has insecurities and fears of being vulnerable.
His skin prickled and burned in anticipation. When christinw accidentally discover that they’re lifemates, their initial plan is to just enjoy the sensation for whatever time they have; once they realize that forever isn’t going to be long enough, they both start to fight, not only for others, but for themselves. Brodrick was directly responsible for the deaths of countless men, women and children.
He loved the night, no matter where he was, or what continent he was on. That is not the case with this book. The constant murmurs, the parasites working on his acceptance of the masters and their plan, was wearing.
Feehan started including for no apparent reason, ffehan least there was less chanting than the last one. Christine Feehan’s Dark series was my introduction to paranormal romance, and for that alone I an eternally grateful. The support and encouragement her dream companion offered was the only thing that got her through some of the tough days and nights, realizing he was there for her now in a more real way left her feeling open and vulnerable in a way she had never been before.

Just a few scenes with the jaguar people and Zacarias de la Cruz. Dominic could have been asleep most of the book as he had the personality of a dull old fart.
Dark Peril was one of the books that I have really looked forward to in the series. But first, she had to survive him. The remnants of a great Mayan temple lay cracked and broken, trees and vines nearly obliterating what was left of the once impressive structure.
He appreciates her strengths, and other than bringing her to an appreciation of her softer side, he makes no effort to change who she is. But even as the parasites attempt to seduce Dominick into taking the final step and becoming vampire himself, Dominick has begun to dream, and in his dreams he ‘feels’ hints of the emotions that he has lost. A strong Dragonseeker male with an equally strong jaguar mate and he’s not going to be in the thick of things especially when their mother was his beloved sister?!
So, I’m dying to see how this is resolved.

The only complaint I have is that the middle feehaan the story dragged a bit when they sat in the cave talking about how she needed to trust him completely – over and over again. So intrigued by her dogged persistence in traveling in spite of her severe injuries, it took several minutes before he realized the hideous whispers in his mind had eased significantly.
